HOW TO GET THERE:

BY ROAD: 175 kms from Nairobi, the park can be reached on Nanyuki - Iosilo road vie Sirimon Track or Nyeri- Nanyuki road near Naro Moru. The park is also reachable via Chogoria on the Embu - Meru road, about 150 kms north from Nairobi.

AIRSTRIP: The closest commercial airstrip to the park is at Nanyuki

OPEN:

Daily: 6.00 a.m - 7.00 p.m. (including public holidays)

Entry is allowed on foot at Naro Moru Gate, Sirimon Gate and Chogoria Gate. Visitors will not be allowed to entry after 6.15 p.m and MUST accompanied by a guide. Trekkers will not be allowed entry in Groups of less than two persons

HOW TO GET A GUIDE AND PORTER

To enter the national park a certified guide is needed. The local guides and porters are organised in clubs. They have their own websites, they can be also find on facebook. If there are any questions how to get a guide please contact us!

NECESSARY EQUIPEMENT

Be sure you have appropriate gear for the duration of the trip. Garments of wool and synthetic insulated materials are far preferable to cotton or down. While hiking with a guide or porters or companions, be sure to keep adequate gear in your rucksack so that you have what you need should you become separated

map, compass, food, water , first-aid kit, warm and waterproof compass, clothing, a signaling mirror, matches/lighter and flashlight are essential.

BATIAN GUEST HOUSE

Accommodation: 1 unit, 8pax

Consists of four bedrooms. Two bedrooms with a double bed each and two masterbedrooms.

Amentities: Bathroom, funished sitting room, dining area and kitchen. Beddings, towels and toiletries. Lighting is by electricity. A caretaker is available.
